Defying All Known Interspecies Mating Laws of Nature

We've all heard the stories about how the tortoise beat the hare. However, we never ever expected to hear or see anything like this related to public displays of affection between the said slowest species in the animal kingdom and let's just say "others"...
  
Turtle Mating with a Croc

Oh don't say it ... don't say it ... "this is a croc!"
 
Frankly we weren't fully confident that this was truly what it seemed to be so... (today's world of editing and special effects and all) so we did a quick research and found that there is a potential pattern here.

We learned that turtles may in fact have a fetish of sorts that you might want to be aware of ... to not leave your things around your yard, especially if you live in an area with turtles ... i.e. as it seems "any shoe will do":

Who did what, where? Is this possibly where the term "sneakers" originated from? An unfaithful turtle? Really?
