Lice B Gone: Safest, Most Effective & Affordable Lice Treatment Available!

Lice are tiny insects that live on humans and feed on blood. They are easily spread from person to person through close bodily contact and shared clothing and shared personal items like brushes or stuffed animals, which is why they are especially prevalent among kids.

There are three types of lice: 1) head lice, found mainly in the hair; 2) body lice, which are found in clothing but access people's bodies when feeding; and 3) pubic lice, found primarily in the groin area but also on facial hair, armpits, and chest hair. Pubic lice are spread through sexual contact and also clothing and towels. Nits, the eggs of lice, are also a nuisance.

Over 12 million children are infected with head lice yearly, and the number is growing. Because today's conventional lice treatments are both dangerous for the chemicals they contain and increasingly ineffective due to lice developing resistance to them (you can read all seven reasons to avoid conventional lice treatments below) we strongly urge you (and please share this with school administrators!) to avoid the conventional lice treatments!

After extensive review, we highly recommend you use Lice B Gone™ instead. Here's why:

Lice B Gone is a safe, non-toxic, 100% pesticide-free multi-enzyme shampoo made from natural plant sources. This extra-strength formula has been clinically proven to effectively remove lice and nits without harmful pesticides or irritating chemicals. Most cases require only one application. It may be used as often as needed, for actual treatment or for precautionary/preventive measures in cases where it is suspected that exposure to lice or scabies has occurred.

Lice B Gone can be used by pregnant women, nursing mothers, young children and people with asthma and allergies.

It is also effective on body lice, crab lice and scabies.

Lice B Gone is Strongly Supported by Testimonials from TOP Experts!

"Head lice can be controlled without insecticides ... The best example I've found is Lice B Gone ... a highly effective treatment that is inexpensive and simple to use, usually requiring only one 60-minute treatment. It is nontoxic, can be used repeatedly without harm (although that isn't usually necessary), and can be safely used to treat pregnant or nursing women as well as children."

-- Marion Moses, M.D., from "A Simple Matter of Grooming," American Journal of Nursing

" ... we are suggesting Lice B Gone as a low risk, effective product that can be used for students in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) who may have head lice ... Most of the products for controlling head lice that are available over the counter or by prescription contain pesticides such as Lindane, Malathion or Permethrin, which may have an adverse effect on children. Some pesticide exposure, even at very low levels, has been shown to have an adverse effect on learning ability in children. Although Lice B Gone is a very low risk product which manages head lice, it also softens the glue so that the nits are removed with the initial shampooing. This is why we are bringing the Lice B Gone to the attention of the school nursing staff, so they may suggest its use. I have reviewed the clinical study, the testimonials and the research data and like the fact that it does not contain pesticides, does not harm pregnant/nursing women, and can be used as often as necessary. The fact that Medicaid is covering the product in some states is an added benefit."

-- William E. Currie, Director, International Pest Management Institute

" ... some California school systems are using a new product called Lice B Gone, a non-toxic, multi-enzyme shampoo made from plant sources that seems to get rid of lice in a single application ... Since it contains no pesticides, Lice B Gone is considered safe for pregnant women, nursing mothers, young children and people with asthma."

-- Dr. Andrew Weil

"I feel secure in recommending this product to my customers because it can be used over and over without fear of toxicity due to over-exposure ... I believe Lice B Gone is a safe, effective, versatile and affordable product. I wish you must success and hope all pharmacists will take a strong look at Lice B Gone."

-- Stephen J. Clement, R.Ph., Past President and Chairman of the Board, Illinois Pharmacist Association

"According to recent reports, head lice have developed a resistance to the pesticides currently used in the leading shampoos, which explains why the problem has been so difficult to solve up till now. Since we discovered Lice B Gone, things have completely turned around ... Every school that uses our services has benefited from using Lice B Gone. We have seen it succeed on many chronic cases where parents previously used other products and spent a small fortune ... We are now able to solve head lice problems safety and without the parents spending much money."

-- Becky Mason, R.N., President of The School Nurse Program (provides nurses to schools in Michigan area)

Other Lice Treatments are Dangerous and Ineffective

Today's popular lice and nit products contain harmful pesticides that can be dangerous for anyone, and in particular may be asthma triggers and are not recommended for pregnant women, nursing mothers or infants. The key reasons you should choose Lice B Gone include:

  1. Prescription lice and nit products contain lindane (Kwell) or malathion (Ovide), which are harmful neurotoxins. They are easily absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, and are especially harmful to our children, elderly and those with weakened immune systems. California has banned lindane for use lice and scabies as of January 2002.

Lice B Gone is Simple to Use: Spray onto dry hair until completely saturated. After 60 minutes, comb out the lice and nits and rinse.

If you choose the (latex-free) Shower Cap version of Lice B Gone, place cap over dry hair, remove after 60 minutes, and comb out the lice and nits.

Also Effective for Scabies! Spray Lice B Gone onto affected area(s), allowing it to dry uncovered and remain on the skin for a minimum of 12 hours. Inspect the treated area(s) and reapply Lice B Gone with a cotton ball to spots still showing signs of redness.

  2. Over-the-counter products such as Nix and Rid contain more pyrethroid pesticides than Yard Guard, Ant & Roach Spray and Flea & Tick Shampoo for dogs.

  3. The other lice and nit products promote pollution. They are pesticides, and are routinely poured down our drains contributing to pollution of our wells, streams, lakes, rivers and environment.

  4. Lice have developed resistance to pyrethoids. Researchers at Harvard School of Public Health have reported that lice have become resistant to pyrethroids. Lice B Gone induces NO resistance.

  5. The other lice and nit products CANNOT be used in a PREVENTIVE manner. It is contrary to their label instructions and potentially harmful to the user to apply a pesticide product in a precautionary manner. However, because it is completely safe and highly effective, you CAN use Lice B Gone as a preventive!

  6. The others require two applications. Lice B Gone generally requires one!

  7. The other products are considerably more expensive! As you can see in the Comparison Chart below, Lice B Gone is the most economical. PLUS, because other products have to be used twice but Lice B Gone generally only requires only one application, you save even more!
